How To Make Chocolate Collagen Brownies
What is the best excuse to eat a brownie? Anti-ageing!
This sweet, indulgent, nutritional powerhouse is perfect for a girl's night in or when you need a "pick-me-up". They provide the healthy fats and amino acids you need to get through the day.
Another main ingredient of these chocolate collagen brownies is one of the top low carb substitutes of flour out there today — almond flour. As you can probably guess, almond flour offers many of the same benefits as almonds do. Some of these benefits include improving cholesterol levels, maintaining healthy blood sugar, improving heart health, and improving overall energy levels.
- 1 cup collagen powder
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 3/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp oil (olive oil or coconut oil)
- 1/4 cup milk (any kind of milk)
- 200g Milk Chocolate (chopped into pieces)
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 eggs
STEP 1: Line or grease a 20 x 20 cm (8 inch) slice tin with baking paper. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees fan-forced.
STEP 2: Simple mix all the ingredients togethor using a wooden spoon.
STEP 3: Fill tin with brownie mixture and put in oven. Bake for around 20 minutes or until center is not jiggly and toothpick or knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
STEP 4: Take out of the oven. Once cooled down, carefully lift out of the tin, slice and enjoy! With leftovers, store in the freezer and defrost as required.
